Founder of The Local Farmstead
Woman Owned and Run
Navy Nurse Corps Veteran
Hi I am Danielle, the founder of The Local Farmstead. I am a nurse of 14+ years, Navy Nurse Veteran with a background of adult education and wound care. I began gardening in the 90’s, when I was just a little girl; when it was just me, my dad, and the earth. 30 years later, as a busy mom of 2, my passion for our earth, sustainable, chemical, and pesticide free farming is bigger than ever. The events of 2020 and its impact on farming and healthcare opened my eyes and lit a fire. I took a step back from nursing and dove into “Farming”, it was important to me to be able to grow most of our food without all the chemicals and additives. So in 2021 The Local Farmstead was established around a Community Supported Agricultural model- where the local community of like minded people would come together and support one another. The Local Farmstead is where community and dreams come together.
